There’s never been a better time to support local. Meet Tanya and her family, from one of our favourite Aussie Brands, Beetanicals. As a family of third-generation beekeepers with two small children, you could say our story is a serendipitous one. Our Beetanicals journey began in 2015 when our son Cooper was born. As a bub, Cooper had very sensitive skin and suffered from a dry skin condition. A search for natural, toxin-free products to soothe, nourish and protect his skin his dry and sensitive skin proved unsuccessful, so I decided to make my own.
Being a long-time lover of bees, I was well aware of the wonderful antibacterial and nurturing benefits of beeswax. A natural emollient and humectant, beeswax draws moisture to the skin, allows it to breathe and seals it in a protective barrier. Beeswax is also rich in vitamin A, which improves hydration. The product I had been searching for was right before my eyes.
A subsequent family holiday caravanning through central Australia also exposed us to some of the amazing powers of Australian native super foods. And so, in conjunction with a formulator and a world expert in aromatherapy and essential oil safety, we created the first batch of Beetanicals balms. All of our products are endorsed by Native Oils Australia who have given them the ‘Clean & Pure’ stamp of approval, which guarantees global industry standards for quality, purity and cleanliness from paddock to bottle.
Since then, we have built our little business around kindness. Kindness for our local farmers and indigenous communities; with the majority of our ingredients grown in Australia. Kindness for our furry friends; all of our products are tested on family and friends (not animals) and our bees are never harmed in the harvesting process. And last but not least, kindness for our skin; our priority is to provide natural, safe, effective and transparent products for families just like ours.
We hope that you love and enjoy our products as much as we do.
