MELANIE WRIGHT

Melanie Wright comes from a very colourful background. Growing up on the North Coast of NSW wearing knee high socks rocking to punk, plucking her bass strings and cutting hair, her life was art and adventure. In essence little has changed since then however her adventure now is in the realm of parenting. Melanie treads fearlessly into these new waters with the gusto of a punk rock song, following her heart and the tune she feels within. Having worn her own babies for seven years and educated countless families in the art of baby-wearing, Melanie has now undertaken the first block of the Das Trageschule Baby-Wearing Consultants course.

Melanie has also stepped out and co-founded Kanga Collective - THE online babywearing community , the first all-inclusive baby-wearing forum and advocacy intiative in Australia.

Melanie regularly runs baby-wearing demonstrations and talks and her passionate advocacy for babies and carers has cemented her reputation as a baby-wearing expert. If there was a tagline to remember Melanie by, it would be 'Carrying the Future'.
